The company LG Electronics was actually founded in 1958 in Korea under the name Goldstar. They first entered in US market (as Goldstar) in 1962 selling radios, then in 1995 they acquired Zenith followed up in 1999 with a joint venture with Philips. In the early part of this century they changed the names of all of their subsidiaries to sell the products under the common LG name. They did this for much the same reason the other companies do to create a global brand under which to market all of their products.
Yes, I would buy their products. I have had their phones since 2004, and know people who have bought several other of their products (washer/dryers, televisions, refrigerators) and don't know of any bad experiences.

I have had a LG phone for the last 3 years. Only had to replace it when it melted in a house fire. Love it. Bought a LG washer / dryer about 6 months ago. They've been around a while though. But, if you have a choice about phones, go with Motorola.

I have had an LG washing machine for the last 4 years and its wonderful also got a long guarantee I thnk it was 10 years - never had a problem with it - must say I love the LG American Fridge with built in TV which I saw in Dubai a few months ago .

LG is the new name for products that were once named Goldstar. They are a Korean company whose products appear to have been steadily improving..
I would consider their products but they would not be on my top 3 list.

I had a Verizon LG phone, or should I say I had four of them. They kept having problems and were replaced. Finally bought a Motorola.

LG is Old enough as Sony , I think just a little younger !
and it's a good brand

They are not new.....just recently hit our market big. I have a friend who is an engineer for LG and his home is filled with their products and he loves them........I have had a few things from them and had no problems.

Yes i know LG they are very good quality and reputation. I have a mobile LG make and its excellent.

is not really new, i had have LGs cell phones for the last 4 years, and they are great, they come out the lastest model and the quality is great, my mom is using my LG cell phone from 4 yrs ago, i truly recommended it.

LG has been around for years. They manufacture electronic equipment and accessories. Their phones are functional and designed well. go for it.
