Are there amendments or is it just so vague we need a council to interpret it and apply it to each case?

I wonder if the person above me realizes that to do that you'd have to bare mininimum be able to understand Latin. If not that He'd have to understand Greek and Hebrew. The fact that we have original texts to translate from completely negates his "barrel of laughs"

Because my Leftist teachers taught me the USA is a Democracy, and that the Pledge of Allegiance Lied when it said that America is a Republic. Conservatives must be nuts. My Socialist Union teacher said so. Now for some reality: Conservative does not mean change is impossible, it only indicates that change should be carefully pursued when a real need arises and change should be thoughtfully planned. Our Founders were smart enough to know amending the Constitution would be essential. The real problem is: Too few have a clue What the Constitution is really all about and distort its significance. Those individuals should never be allowed to get close to any position where they can change something they have no knowledge of. Wouldn't it be nice to have more than 4 people on the Supreme Court with a clue?

I think the New Testament is the only amendment ever to SUPPOSED to have been made to the Bible. The folks got tired of being smitted all the time and had to change things. The Constitution is more flexible but it is still controlled by the SUPREME court. Neither adapt in real time.

The answer to this question seems fairly self-evident. The Bible has been written and added to over millenia. Continuing revelation through prophets is what causes it to adapt to the ever changing environment.

Makes you wonder why most churches seem to believe that that process suddenly stopped 2,000 years ago, eh? That seems a little irrational to me.
