It's been so long since I bought anything in this price range, and I almost gave up on california cab's in general... more of a brunello guy lately, but I am tired of opening all my big time bottles when I have a crowd over (holiday season) and they don't appreciate the really good stuff... don't bother recommending Yellow-Tail cailber plonk, thanks

I gave a price range because you really need to, or I'll get Haut Brion recommended next to Two Buck Chuck

Slexie - I guarantee you have had a "mix" before, as almost everything is mixed at least a little. It only needs to be 75% Cabernet to be called Cabernet....

"Vin De Pays D'Oc" a merlot/cabernet sauvingnon mix. I had never had a mixed wine before, but this was exceptional. We had the 2005 vintage, which tasted much better than expected. Espically since it was under $25.

By the way the vinyard is "les vignerons de roquemaure."

First and foremost, why set a price range? We do very well with rocking cabs in the $10-15 price range especially for parties. You can get more wine and most importantly the revelers will not notice a change in the wine after the 2nd bottle.

We recommend a solid cab such as St Supery or Clos du Val. Then you can back it up with Hawk's Crest or Liberty School.

Price averages out to be $15 depending on the # of bottles you purchase.

Hi I'm in California and I found an incredible cabernet about a year ago. It's called "Twenty Bench" Cabernet with a black label and a red Indian figure running on it (something like that). Anyway, everyone who has ever tried this wine LOVED it. You can buy it on the internet or in stores depending where you are. Good luck and enjoy!!

You must be loaded to be springing for $20 bottles of wine. A J. Lohr Cab at about $13 will rock them. A standard at Costco.

Try Russian River Valley's Toasted Head. It is fantastic, and actually pretty decently priced.
