I am now going to an Apostolic church.

I still tend to think of God as Three in One and not One with three offices. But since He is Spirit He may be neither or both, He is beyond our finite minds.

Of the people that I have talked to, only a few have ever dared to bring this up with God in prayer, and they say that He is not concerned about it (at least at this time).

I am Apostolic Pentacost By experince & not by denomination, There is One God, One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, I go by the Apostles Doctrine of Old, Acts. 2:38-45 & Being Baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, But I do not believe that speaking in tongues is the evidence of the Holy Ghost, I have seen many speak in tongues just to the next breath cuss you out, The true way to know if someone has the Holy Ghost is to give them the WORD test, How can the Holy Ghost denied God's own word since they are the self same spirit. I do believe that speaking in tongues is one of the 9 spiritual gifts, In my life of Serving God for over 36 yrs. He has given me the gift of tongues, & interpretation, & prophecy, I beileive the Spirit of Truth which is the Holy Ghost will guide us into all truth. I don't have enough room to keep on.

I am a born again, spirit filled, toungue talking, believer in Jesus as Lord. I do not think that the name of the front of the church you attend is what you are.
I am a spirit, I have a soul and I live in a body. My spirit is a reflection of God's Spirit, my soul is my mind, will, intellect and character. My body is the Temple where we all live and work. It is not me it is my ride. This is how I would discribe myself.I personally feel that if I am discribing myself according to any outside influence, then I might not know myself as I should? Until we are born again, we only have outside people places and things to discribe out character. When we are saved it all moves inside with God.
I do believe there is a thread of real believers that is woven through out the entire body of churches.
"It's what's on the inside that counts"

I am someone who did not just simply believe what I was told to because my parents did. I am someone who uses my thinking and reasoning capabilities to research the truth for myself. I am someone who has the strength to believe in what I have proven to myself to be right whether it is the popular opinion or not. I am myself. And you say that you're an Apostolic because that is how you've been raised? Don't define yourself by your parents beliefs.

Do I have to be something?

I follow the teachings of Jesus without the slant, or spin of any particular version of Christianity.

Religion is at best a limitation on God.

I think we were generic brand until I accepted Christ when I was 19. I accepted Christ in a Pentecostal church but I don't consider myself from a denomination - mainly a Christian first.
