The main thing I never understand about religion is why it is considered wrong to show your body, and to have sex (before marriage or whenever). It is the most natural thing in the world, we were born naked, how can it be wrong? And this original sin business, how do people expect that we should procreate if we don't have sex.

Why is promiscuous sex a sin then? If it's done safely, I mean don't want STD's do we, but still, it's a natural act.

Sex might not be love, but it is an act of love, it brings you closer to someone, whether you're married or not.
I know it's not a bible thing, but it's something that's believed, and I just don't get it, why go against nature?

So tell me, what happened before people believed in god or had any religion and therefore never got married? did they all go to hell, that doesn't seem very fair.

Almost everything is "sinful" according to the bible. I'm surprised it doesn't say breathing is a "sin". I cant see the point in living and not being allowed to do anything. No wonder so many are frustrated. Sex is enjoyable and the most natural thing in the world.

You are correct that sex is natural, as are our bodies, and sex is not a sin per se, but only when it is done casually and outside the boundaries God has provided. As you mention, sex is a powerful thing, bringing couples closer together and possessing the ability to strengthen the love between two people. But sex is more than that. Sex also brings us closer to God. God did command that mankind should procreate (the main purpose of sex), and this act is also the most godly act mankind can engage in, as we are being creators ourselves. Such a power shouldn't be taken lightly, and should only be used between those who are capable to bring life into the world (able to provide the familial structure God would desire). This does not mean it shouldn't be done as an enjoyable act, but that is not the purpose. God made it enjoyable so people would engage in the act and populate. If we allow the self-gratification of the act take over, and that is our only purpose, then it is probably outside of the boundaries of God.
I don't believe this means people who get married should not use birth control and just have kids right away, but we must be able to provide the stability I am certain God would want. So in that instance, sex would be more of the bonding and strengthening, leading up to the creating.

Having sex is not a sin. The first command in the Bible is "Be fruitful and multiply." But sex is intended for married couples and results in procreation. It's suppose to be fun, otherwise we wouldn't do it......and we wouldn't procreate. Sex outside of marriage is sin, it's called fornication and adultery. Now that's the Bible speaking. If you don't agree, find. Do your own thing.
P.S. The original sin has nothing to do with sex.

The idea of sex out of marriage is what MOST religions are against. Not just Christianity. Part of it has to do with keeping society together. Look at the subcultures where women are having kids out of wedlock all of the time (Hollywood being a good example) and how unstable they are. As for nudity, Adam and Eve were nude, until they ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Then, THEY saw their nudity as evil. God never said it was. He just made them clothes so that they wouldn't feel as uncomfortable. He is a VERY loving God. Numbers 6:24. If it weren't for the nut cases who would rape, etc, I'd go for a clothing optional society.

Sex is not sinful. It just should be regulated. Don't you think? Religeon preserves human relationships by introducing monogamy. Man and woman can have all the sex they want under a monogomous relationship. And if you don't believe such a relationship is the most natural, if you think that you can live a good fruitful life having many sex partners.. who wouldn't mind sharing you with others as you wouldn't mind sharing each of them with others.. and going on fullfilled physically and spiritually while you juggle and be juggled with ..then .. it's been good talking to you.

Wiccans and other Pagans don't consider sex sinful. As you mentioned, it's the most natural thing in the world, so there's nothing "bad" (i.e. sinful) about sex. Now, having sex willy nilly with anyone who passes by isn't particularly healthy or safe, both from a physical health standpoint and a psychological health standpoint, but sex as a way of expressing love or affection is not sinful.
Blessed be!

Sex in itself is not sinful as long as it is within marriage. Between a woman and man married to each other, sex is beautiful and talked about in some very beautiful language (check out the Song of Solomon). It is only sinful outside of marriage -- God's rules not mine regardless of what society thinks.
As far as the whole nudity & modesty subject, again you have to look at God's word not societies opinion. After Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, they recognized they were naked and sewed aprons out of fig leaves to cover their nakedness. However, God decided that the fig leaf aprons were not modest enough and made tunics (which are like panchos or coats) of animal skins for them to wear. Read Genesis 3:7-8, 21 for more details.
So what it really comes down to this ...
If you believe the Bible is God's Word, do you want to please God or yourself/society?

It's kind of obvious why God wouldn't want us to be sleeping around like you suggest.
It's just how we're made. We are meant to have one partner or none at all. This has many advantages and no practical disadvantages.
Sex is not required to live like food or water. Sex leads to complications like babies born to non-wed parents and those that aren't ready for them. STDs are spread by having multiple partners so having one partner protects you from STDs. Modern birthcontrol helps both of these problems but hasn't stopped them as well as abstinence is sure to.
In addition to that there is the psychological damage of constantly bring two people together that intimately and then breaking them apart. You might get numb to the pain, but that just makes it easier to do it again. Then you get married, but you can't manage to stay in one relationship because you're use to having mulitple partners and the numbing of your pain makes it easy for you to cheat.
See how psycologically primoscuity can have a downword spiral?
It's interesting to note the direct relationship between the acceptance of pre-marital sex and the divorce rate in this country.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1 Corinthians 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
Out of marriage sex is a sin. It is an act that is led by satan and against the word of God. These scripturs explain that quite clearly.

From my readings (and I just woke up, so I have zero desire to chase down sources), one of the reasons that there was such a taboo placed on sex is so that men would know that their children were their own. They didn't want to be raising some other man's child if their wife had been unfaithful. If you throw something into the mix that makes people terrified of going outside the matrimonial bounds for fear of their mortal soul, it tends to work better than always having to question.. "Are you SURE that's my kid?"

I learned this from a great spiritual teacher:
When a warrior was in battle, his sword was placed in a sheath. Most times, this sword was not cleaned. When the warrior fought, if he stabbed anyone, it wasn't the wound the killed the other, it was the infections due the sword being used multiple times.
Look up the word for sheath in the Latin. It has a direct correlation with a female part used in sex. If a "man's sword" is used a sex with other woman, the infection will eventually rest in the sheath it's placed in. Hence, the possibility of infection placed in the woman.
God built mankind to multiply, to pleasure sex as a union between man and woman. But this union was created between ONE man and ONE woman for a lifetime, to prevent infection and to bring lasting fulfillment of being close to your spouse.
Another factor is soul ties. Sex creates soul ties. Every time you have sex with someone, you create a soul tie with that person. Now imagine having sex with multiple people, you now have soul ties to all those people, along with those your partner had sex with.
I prefer to be soul tie and lifelong partner with my wife. It is the best sex either of us had or imagined and the feeling of being loved and connected makes the union and marriage work and sustain.
