Get of your self rightous high horse and stop to realize that in order to learn, one must ask questions. You were not born educated in the word of God. You I'm sure asked many questions when you were wanting to learn about God. Where did you misplace your humility.

It's an attitude like yours that runs off the lost soul who is seeking out God's truth, and their salvaion through His truth. If they percieve all Chrsitians to spout off like you just did, they would not want to become a Chrisitan for fear of becoming like someone like you. And who could blame them?

You not only must obtain knowledge through the word of God, but you must adopt those very words into your being and behave as an ambassador of God. What you said in your post was ugly and rude and not the way God wants us to teach others.

Proverbs 15:33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility

Did it ever occur to you that other people may be getting spiritually fed from the answers that are given to those who ask questions that you feel are not worthy of yoru time to answer them?

People do study the Bible and as is painfully obvious, come to different conclusions about the things In the Bible.

And no, the Bible does not contain all the answers to my questions. Maybe they have answered yours, which is great!

And why do you give a link to a website to try to prove the bible isn't a boring book? I would think simply stating that and telling people to read the Bible, not a website, should make your point/stand.

That raises an obvious question....if the Bible contains all the answers to everyone's questions...why are there literally hundreds of different Bible-religion sects that all believe different things? In many cases, these different beliefs are contradictory and/or conflicting? Why is there so much contention amongst all the sects if they all have all the answers?

For instance, here's a basic question that the Bible should answer, yet there are as many different answers to it as there are Christian sects: "What is the nature of God?"

Here's another one: Paul teaches about baptism for the dead in the New Testament. Why don't most Christian churches practice proxy baptism?

Here's another one: The ancient church has always had a temple. Always. Why don't most modern churches have temples? Is there a Bible teaching that explains this?

I could go on....

BTW, I do believe that the Bible IS the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. But I also believe that it is missing many basic truths. Thank goodness for continuing revelation and scripture from God!

Friend I have been on this site almost 5 months, do you know how many questions I have ask in 5 months, 15, & about 8 of them was on health. I have been saved for over 36 yrs. do you think I have got this far in serving God without studying the word of God, Most of the questions people ask here, they always want an answer but they don't want us to use bible. Strange isn't it. So now my question do you is this, why are you asking this question? Should you be studying your bible instead of asking stupid questions?

They know, but don't want to take the time. There are books like, Where To Find It In The Bible, that gives a subject and scriptures about it.

It is a thick and boring book, I am sorry but it is. I tried so hard when I was a kid and a young adult to get out of it what you are supposed to find, I really did. Nothing EVER clicked for me and I don't think I was extraordinarily dumb. AND I think I tried a lot more sincerely than a lot of other kids! The bible is not the be-all and end-all for all of humanity, accept it. As the saying goes, "god is too big to fit into one religion".

I agree with you. Many in here do not know what the bible even says. They go on what someone has told them and on what they have seen. But what the bible says is what they should know.

The bible was written by men and can be interpreted many ways. It often contradicts itself as well. The bible may contain answers but it does not mean they are correct.

Oh goody! I can start emptying out all those shelves! Bye-bye Augustine, Luther, Barth, Tillich, John-Paul. And think of all the money we can save by closing all those theology departments!
Oh, I forgot to ask, which version is that one that has "all the answers?"
