Well you could have an infection in your blly button such as a skin infection...go see a doctor...or it could just be an accumulation of dirt and dust particles.....but you belly button does not have a cubeous gland that secretes ear wax so you should go see your doctor if you have ear wax sort of substances coming from your belly button...
Another question? Did you get your belly pierced recently?

it's not supposed to be yellow, but it's lint. the only reason i could think it's yellow is if you're wearing yellow and the dye comes off?

You need to clean it with proxcide, that will get the infection out. If that doesn't work than please go see a doctor for it really does sound infected.
