Start with Toys for Tots. They can help you with some gifts for each kid under the age of 18. Then, contact local churches, and programs that do the food stamps and state insurance, because those groups will all be able to get you in touch with other groups that can adopt your family for Christmas. But do it NOW, because many of these programs around the nation have early distribution dates, or cut off dates.

If all else fails, try to find low-cost presents that they can at least open and enjoy for Christmas, such as things from Dollar Tree- coloring books, toy cars, puzzles, stuffed animals, etc.

Best place to start is with your local representative. Check and see who represents your Dsitrict in your local phone book and call them. They are elected officials and are usually more then happy to assist. I would also try the Salvation Army and local Radio Stations. Good Luck.

check with welfare offices, look at dept. stores, walmart or kmart and see if they have angel trees, get the children's names on them, welfare offices often know about christmas connection type locations where children can go and choose gifts, free or nearly free. many organizations choose families, lions clubs, etc, give gift baskets, church organizations give christmas baskets to needy families. Even rurally located families
