Alot of plants and animals we thought gone might still be around... giant red ground sloth sightings in south america for example.. trees though extinct form dino times beign found in austrailia... unuslly fossil fish turing up alive though long gone..
The T Rexx fossil found in Montana crirca 2002 that had meat, blood cells and squishy viens in the largest bone when cracked open would suggest that dinos lives much more recent than 65 million years ago guestimated.
the dragon legends are probably the last dinosaurs being wiped out or mostly wiped out (who knows whats in the congo or the seas) by man For example, Bishop Bell had a rather cool sauropad engraved on his tomb. The american indians had some pretty authentic plooking Pterodactlys and Sauropads as well Austrailian natives have stories of upright walking gator like that died off in the last century as man got more populous and savy in hunting ability... man usually wins in man vs animal situations even if it comes to dinos.
there were some Mayan pottery...but analysis suggests they were of recent origin and probably not genuine

Funny how Stegasaurus had a tiny head but when I looked up the temple, the carving shows an animal with a huge head, kinda like a rhino. Also the things that look like back plates aren't joined to the body but hang separate, and look like an artistic ornament, similar to the ornament around the outside of the frame (which I note isn't shown on 'Christian' sites). But for arguments sake, even if Stegasaurus had survived until a thousand years ago, how exactly does that disprove evolution?? The scientific theory of evolution says nothing about when dinosaurs went extinct. I suggest you do a bit of reading, eg. start with geology.
But on the subject, yes many ancient people knew of the one time existence of giant animals, as they found big (fossil) bones, eg. the griffin (protoceratops fossils in the homelands of the scythians), cyclops (elephant skulls in crete - big hole for the trunk), dragons (various fossil bones including reptilian dinosaur ones).

Dinosaurs were extinct millions of years before human beings appeared on earth. This is not a "theory". It is a known fact. Not only are there no human remains in strata where dinosaur bones exist, there are not even any mammalian bones there, and large mammals were alive for millions of years, and many of them had become extinct, before humans appeared. The much touted "stegosaurus" image is just another case of creationist wishful thinking. The image is a typical oriental dragon, on which the artist included large triangular plates down the back. In the few known cases where ancient people did actually discover an exposed dinosaur bone, they typically concluded that it came from a race of human giants. So much for their knowledge of dinosaurs. The biblical "behemoth" is clearly a description of the hippopotamus, while the biblical "leviathan" is just as obviously a description of the crocodile, facts upon which almost all biblical scholars agree. The one case of supposed human footprints alongside dinosaur footprints was investigated and demonstrated to be a hoax. If hanging onto your religious beliefs means rejecting reality and perpetuating untruth, perhaps it's time to take another look at those beliefs, and to see just where they came from. There are millions of devout Christians who do not feel the need to reject reality in order to remain faithful. Perhaps their church has something that your church lacks?

When they died has nothing at all to to with evolution. When they lived does. For example, evolution had nothing to do with an asteroid that may have been responsible with their extinction. And in fact, if someone found a LIVE dinosaur, it would have no effect on evolutionary theory. The reason we believe they've been gone for millions of years is simply that we haven't found any evidence of their existence since then. In any case this is an issue for paleontology and related fields - not for evolutionary theory.
By the way, the evidence you allude to is not acceptable or credible, even by Christian paleontologists. And evidence to the contrary is overwhelming.

Having attended bible college, and having read the bible through again and again, I can tell you that there is no mention of dinosaurs in the bible.
And having spent some time in Cambodia, I can tell you that there is no such replica as you describe.
And having a scientific education in addition to my religious studies, I can tell you that the Theory of Evolution does indeed NOT say when the dinosaurs died out.
The Theory of Evolution is the basis for all modern physical sciences from medicine to biology to botany to zoology. Our understanding of the process of evolution is continually improving, but he fact of evolution is irrefutable. Sorry to bust your bubble, but you really should do a bit more reading before you make such obviously erroneous comments.

The legends of dragons may well be attributed to dinosaurs. There ARE areas where human foot prints are embedded into the rock, along side dinosaur tracks. Just because the dinos died out and man didn't doesn't mean that they didn't co-exist. Look how the woolly mammoth died out and we are still here. Man is better at adapting. We will most likely survive the next catastrophe too. God bless.

Uh, no. Dinosaurs lived millions of years before humans. That statue is either a fossil, the result of seeing a fossil, or an extremely imaginative mind (and coincidence).
It'll take more than one statue to negate the mountains of evidence science has.
Oh, and it will also take you actually making a scientific claim, in a refereed journal, supporting it with academic references, instead of an ignorant question on Yahoo! Answers.
I don't know why every religious non-scientist has the arrogance to claim that their confused and uninformed reasoning is enough of a scientific proof to claim god. Usually, as in this case, they don't even understand the subject, or why we have come to the conclusion we have. They just see science as against their god and fight it.
I'd like to point out that of the many different theories that science maintains (heliocentrism, cell theory, atomic theory, plate tectonics), only evolution is attacked by the non-scientific community. And it is attacked solely from a religious point of view, merely because it conflicts with parts of their religion. My question is: why should we respect anyone who says 'I don't care about your evidence I know my god is real and I'm right no matter what you say'?

particular, and that's strictly the place they're believed to have come from. people have been uncovering fossils for hundreds of years, yet might have had no thank you to understand basically how old they have been. Medieval curio collections might incorporate fossils on occasion so as that they needless to say liked them on a cultured point if no longer a scientific one. the classic chinese language have been even grinding up dinosaur fossils to be utilized of their drugs calling them dragon bones. God knows what number useful artefacts from the fossil checklist have been lost that way.

Have you ever played the game gossip? Stories in the bible were passed down by word of mouth from generation to generation by men who had no scientific understanding of the world around them. Genesis was an myth created by these men in an ignorant attempt to explain the age old question of "How did I get here and why?" Sometime later, these myths by men were written down and declared to be "God's word". As you can see by the multiple religions in the world, what are "God's words", like history, depends upon who is telling the story.

Anyone ever found a dinosaur fossil that's 10,000 years old? The acient greeks had unearthed a large dinosaur fossil, and called it a giant.
