Run off from irrigated farm lands carry pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers into surface and ground water resevoirs. The problem is minimal at the moment, but due to drought cycles it could increase. Animal waste products are often problems for private wells because people do not follow guidelines set to keep animals distant from their water sources.

chemicals are the main pollutants in our water. Many chemicals will not breakdown over time they stay just the way they are .
