No this isn't the life I had imagined. It is both better and worse, depending on when I was doing the imagining. But I have a lot to be grateful for, if I look for it. I married my best friend, we have a nice but modest home, and we are both employed. We have friends and family who love us. Although not in perfect health, we are mobile and not living in constant pain. Our needs are taken care of and sometimes some of our wants. There are folks who have more than and less than us---but as long as we are grateful for what we have things are good. Very good.
Life IS an adventure---regardless of where you are. Really look around you to see all of the people you have the opportunity to make a difference in. Even the little things that you say to a child or stranger may make a difference. When I remember the simple things that people said to me that changed my life, I doubt that those people knew how much it would mean to me years later. To love and be loved is the most productive anyone can be. To give to others is the most rewarding thing you could do in life.
Are you only concentrating on the positive things in your life that you want to grow or the negative things?

I retired a while back, at first I was glad to kiss the 9-5 goodbye, only getting some fun at weekends, now I have loads of time to seek adventures, not enough money to make them come true. I had adventures, need new ones which like you I dont want to spend time chasing money. Each day can be good depends on what you like doing.Be imaginative.

I'm living it better than I imagined. I never could have come up with something this good.
If you're feeling dissatisfied, then you need to make a change. Think about what you really want and find a way to make it work. People have an amazing ability to do this, I've seen it.

The best paycheck you'll never get is helping someone else. It's worthwhile and you'll always be successful.

If you haven't already done so, turn your life over to Jesus, and He will lead you to what your purpose is in Him. Praise the Lord!!
