The directions on this bottle say to take "two capsules three times daily" which is 9 capsules in all. Can I take, say, 4 capsules in the morning and two @ later in the day, will it be effective this way, or do I HAVE to take it like it says, three times a day? B/c I'm getting tired of having to go back to the medicine cabinet 3xs a day.

Two capsules three times a day is only six. You really should spread them out the way it says on the bottle to make sure that the St. Johns Wort is distributed evenly through time. I interpret that as 2 capsules every 8 hours. That's not really so difficult. If is is, just carry a small container with you.

Follow the directions they give you. Taking the pills 3 X daily will keep a steady level of the drug in your bloodstream.
