There have been others before him and were others after him.

But, the squeaky wheel always gets the grease.

You have a good mind but just because Jesus was only one of many does not take anything away from his message.

Religion has twisted and spun the message of Jesus for 2000 years and they still have not been able to eradicate it completely. Its that powerful.

I agree! But Jesus as a "squeaky wheel"! That's too funny! What are some other saviors? I'd vote for the Buddha, Karl Marx, Martin Luther King, Margaret Sanger (proponent of women's right to birth control) and Bill Clinton, who gave us the best economy in the history of this country!

yes, even way back into very primitive society. it is a story that we keep repeating, a myth of man. an archetype of humanity. read the power of myth by joseph campbell- incredible book on this subject

but, i have to say that doesn't mean that Jesus wasn't real, or that he didn't incarnate with a Divine purpose. there have been many Masters and Realized Beings walking this planet, all throughout history. The Guatuama Buddha, Moses, Mohammad, and lesser known Saints and Gurus. Holiness Ramana Maharshi, Swami Muktananda, Guruji Neem Karoli Baba

there is a wealth of information out there, and once you start reading, you see the connection and the similarity between all these traditions. They are all trying to tell you- that you are God

Hey, if you're cute, you can come get tangled in my son's sheets - he needs a good woman!
Sorry, couldn't resist, seeing your screen name! As for your question - have you heard of Appolonius of Tyana? His life story almost exactly paralells that of Jesus - he lived and preached in the same geographic area, but the two never met nor even heard of one another. And the two of them were certainly not the only ones wandering about teaching the worship of one god, doing good and healing the sick and all. Rome executed such folks wholesale, actually!

I would like to point out that each of those claimants has as much evidence as Jesus does, which is to say none. Followers do not count as evidence for miracles, and there is no corroborating empirical evidence of any miracles.

You know thats funny you say this but then you do not put proof out there for us to look up. Jesus is the only Saviour.

While there have (and still are) people claiming to be "saviors", I am still waiting to see any of the others raise from the dead.

Jesus saves from sin and his followers testify of this. What are these other saviors saving people from?
