I am taking the Amtrak out of Union Station (Washington DC) do they allow overnight parking? If so, what ballpark price range ?

There is overnight parking in the garage; there's not a lot of parking spaces for Amtrak passengers so if you're going on a very busy travel day (close to Christmas) get there early enough to find a space. The parking garage is right behind Union Station and you can take a series of escalators right down to the train level. It's about $12/day if I remember correctly.

Cars

1,000 spaces are currently available in the Union Station Parking Garage. The Garage is multi-tiered and has elevator, escalator and stairwells for easy access to the Shops, Restaurants and Transportation services at Union Station (AMTRAK, MARC, VRE, Gray Line / Gold Line, Old Town Trolley, DC Ducks, Tourmobile).

Parking is available 24/7. Access is available from Massachusetts Avenue NE - from a ramp on the East side of Union Station.

Motorcoaches / Recreational Vehicles

Motorcoach (bus) / Recreational vehicle parking is available in the attached parking garage for vehicles with a 13 foot clearance. As of June 20, 2005, the parking garage will be undergoing construction for its new parking addition. Once the expansion is complete, there will be more than 100 bus spaces available. In the mean time, there are 15-18 daily bus spaces, first come, first serve. We ask for your patience and that you please plan accordingly. Parking garage access is available from Massachusetts Avenue NE - from a ramp on the East side of Union Station.
