Lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid. as a result of NHS drug restrictions my version of this drug has been changed. I am finding an increase in my gastric symptoms since this change. Why?

I have recently been put on Lansoprazole because of a recommendation from my GP.Iwas previously on Pantoprazole and i have not noticed much difference except the speed of relief i get.Once it kicks in it`s ok.
