Although all the art depictions of Adam and Eve that I've seen show them with belly buttons, even the one in the Sistine Chapel in Rome (the creation of Adam), they shouldn't if they didn't come out of a womb to begin with, that is if they were created from nothing ... but if Adam and Eve came from monkeys, then they would have belly buttons ... I don't know about you or anybody else, but I wouldn't be going around proud-like saying that I am a descendant of monkeys.

Adam might have had a scar on his side

my guess is no... but Christians disagree... there have been miricles with the appearance of age like
water to wine, feeding the 5000 with fish and loaves that look as if they were not made that day..

in the end ... it's not very consequential...
my guess is Adam and Eve did nto have them and could tell people for 800 years they were made by from Dust and rib and could show the missing buttons

Yes. The human female (the "Mitochondrial Eve") who lived approximately 200,000 years ago and who is the common genetic ancestor of every single living person would have had a parent who was both a placental mammal and a bipedal hominid.

All such beings pass nutrients to their fetuses via an umbilical cord.

My guess would be no, because to have a bellybutton would imply that you were born from your mother. Since neither of them were products of a sexual union, no umbilical cord was necessary. Thus... well you get the idea.

Yes, as they were created to be human, along with all the necessary parts. The necessity of a belly button is in knowing what to expect in their children.

Why do people assume that just because they were created, that God would leave out this feature?

If you really want the truth buy the book, Lost Book of the Bible and the Forgotten Book of Eden.In there it tells that there body had to be changed when they fell from grace. It doesn't clarify but I would say no.

Does it matter in the full picture? NO it does not.

But I believe that they had bellybuttons since GOD did make them to be the first and they need to look the same to their kids.
