Ok, i am fourteen years old and my mom agreed to getting me highlight

Well it's a bleaching process. It's very drying to your hair so it's best to use a deep conditioner a day before and after you get them done to help portect your hair. If you ever try to color over them, because they're so bleached you will need stronger color on the highlights and they may still show up under the color a little.

That's fun I'm happy for you....you should look threw some magazines and find a look that you like and then when you go to get them done the stylist will have an idea what you are looking for so you will be totally satisfied with the experience.

I am not a hair dresser but I know a lot about hair and how to keep them healthy .You just ask whatever you want?

They have kits at the drug store, grocery store and walmarts.

It's best to start with highlights around your face....to make sure you like it....and a carmel color is nice....again to start.

Make sure your mom helps you....or a good hairdresser in your town.

My mother was a hairdresser 52 years....and I'll give you her advice.....Don't try too much too soon!

ur hair will break, and frizz and u'll seriously regret that u wanted it........
highlighting, bleaching, dyeing etc hair really weakens it, ur hair will break if u dont take xtra special care and then itll frizz and u'll have a demented looking afro......
