Best time to buy is the "Boxing Day" sales.
The day after Christmas on December 26th and it usually goes for about a week.
Remember to go early to beat the rush.

After...make sure it says HDTV and go flat screen! Why ?! HD has the best picture resolution and TV signals are upgrading to HDTV so that by next christmas season you may not get any signal without a HD compatible TV! note; every TV retailer is trying to unload the warehouse of the Non-HDTV sets;buyer beware!

If I were you I'd wait. Not only will the stores be having their after Christmas sales (which are usually better than the pre-Christmas sales), they'll have big sales on TVs in January right before the Super Bowl.

I 'd recommend you to get it after the holiday. you don't know if someone might get you one on christmas. But you can start by looking for the best one with a reasonnable price

I would think that you have a better chance of getting a deal now, as opposed to next year. Actually, your best chance was Black Friday.
