Im in a long distance relationship for about a year and a half. It is working out great. The main thing is to keep eachother well informed in eachothers lives, as if they were there with you. Let them know exactly how you feel and what is going on. Dont hold back feeling or emotions, good or bad.
You must also make plans to visit eachother and spend some type of quality time together. When the relationship gets to a higher level, plans about moving closer together helps keeps things going, and gives you something to look forward to.
It is really hard I am not going to lie, but I can work if you work hard at it. Communication plays a big role in this type of relationship.
And remember to keep things interesting. If not then it might fade.
Good luck.

Well the most important thing, which I think is pretty obvious is to keep the communication between you two strong. You guys should talk as much as you can and implement different ways to do so (like mics, phones if possible, text messages, IM's, emails, snail mail, webcams, etc) and then just try to show how much you care by thinking of creative things like sending a card, having a long distance date where you guys eat dinner together and/or watch the same movie, etc. The most important thing is that you make it clear that you care and that you are always there for each other no matter what. But remember communication is key***Good luck and take care:)

Communication!!!!and trust my boyfriend was in college and I never once thought he would cheat on me, but I'm not a jealous person. i used to be in a long distance relationship, (he moved back after a year), we've been dating 2 and half years and still going strong, compared to other relationships that have lasted as long, we know so much more about each other because all we did was talked, and about everything! It can work i promise, I hope it all goes well. God bless.

Depending on how old you are, Move there or have him move to you... i mean if you are really dedicated, I hate to say it, but you would absolutly be willing to make that sacrifice

it depends on both of you
if you really really really love him and so he also loves you, no matter how far you are away from him, the only thing to last you relationship is your trust in each other, love, faith and loyalty and also patience...tose are really important. if you got all that, i think even when you are very far away from him, it will last.
