It sounds as though you are already on the right track. Your hair should not only grow back but more importantly, grow back healthy. If your hair is naturally curly, my suggestion is instead of chemically straightening it, I would use a ceramic blow dryer. I minimally process my hair, getting relaxers approx every 3 months. I blow it straight about once a week after deep conditioning and hair treatments. The hair stays straight and the creamic blow dryer seems to seal in mouisture and keep the hair's appearance healthy. Try Revlon's ceramic blow dryer (for about $20-25 bucks) with the bristle attachments. My hair has grown tremendously and I had the same problem. Good Luck. Also, I would maybe purchase a satin or silk scarf or pillow cover to keep the hair from breaking off as you sleep, if you don't already have one.

i had the same problem a few years ago my hair is curly too. get a cut you may need more than a trim (sad i know) use a natural shampoo & conditioner (no sodium lauryl sulphate or propolene glycol) from a health store and ask the hairdresser for a good leave in conditioner.also remember hair is part of your body, like skin so it needs good nutrition to grow and it has a growing cycle so there are times when it will not grow, less in winter more in summer, it also has a three year fall out re-grow cycle. not too sure about the hot oil as heat can damage, ask a hairdresser. all the best of luck!

Well, i had the same problem, but i was coloring and using curling irons on mine, lol mine is straight. But i went to the salon and she cut 3 inches off of mine, i go back in 5 to 6 weeks, and she is going to highlight it, or a body perm whichever i want first. but my hair is alot fuller due to her putting layers in it. My hair is still long but not like it was. I am using alot of conditioner on it now, nexus. So i wish you luck.
