Law enforcement lends itself towards corruption, the authority placed in the hands of a young, in some cases unqualified officer leads in some cases to corruption. Some officers who have been in law enforcement for a long time become corrupt because they see their work as futile, some courts have become revolving doors for criminals and a police officer observes the amount of money they are receiving for Drugs, robbery and other crimes so they decide to take a piece of the action.

Religion has made them that way. There is no eternal damnation. It is defined as separation from God which we are all a part of. But if you were brainwashed to think that there is One God and that there is eternal damnation, your mind does a continuous loop trying to find the truth about everything and never comes to a logical conclusion unless it is challenged and you arent too boneheaded to accept the difference at that time. This endless loop is what causes bipolarism and schizophrenia, diseases common in most people to some degree. So people who are corrupt, no matter what occupation they are in, pretty much got that way from this eternal damnation worship combined with their other environment. 90% of the people in this world are lazy..don't change. 10% do all the work. 10% of the 10% that do all the work have been predestined and taught to do the work for the right reasons. Now you are down to 1% of the population! So you have 99% in the human world either doing wrong stuff or right stuff for the wrong reasons. Go figure.

There aren't as many as you think. The problem is that you hear about each and every one of them. What about all of the dirty politicians? What about dirty stockbrokers? What about dirty businessmen? You don't hear about them. The point is that there are just as many dirty cops as there are dirty anything in any profession. You put a bunch of apples in the barrel you are always going to have a few that go rotten. It is like that with all things and all people.

It's no more than in any other field. It's just that dirty cops break down our trust in the system, so they are very noticeable and make for great headlines.
When someone in a business steals $10,000, that's not newsworthy. However, if a police officer steals $100 from someone's home while they are there, that's much more interesting, isn't it?
