People have been chalking their hair, or wearing chalked wigs since the 1400's.This method is used a lot in stage acting, because it is so easy to use.

There is nothing in chalk that can react with your hair to damage it. It would just be a matter of washing it out again, when you wanted to get rid of it.

Chalk For Your Hair

Well chalk will dry out your hair for one thing. But chalk is also an abrasive. In the short term it probably wouldn't do too much damage, but if you intend to use chalk to color your hair on a regular basis it could really mess it up.

It'll just dry your hair out until you wash it again. Have you tried unsweetened kool-aid and conditioner? http://mdmd.essortment.com/koolaiddyehai_pwc.htm
