I heard Kent Hovind (creationist and tax evader) once say that neanderthals are people who lived for very long times, that their brows were longer due to gravity and their brains were bigger due to increased wisdom.

I'm not sure if this is the generic Young Earth Creationist explanation but it's not the explanation ALL Christians give. The majority of Christians actually accept that evolution happened and is still happening. It's just the ones that have been taught to find offense in the idea that we are descended from primates that have issues.

Well considering the fact that I take the creation story as a general symbolic statement that God created us, and we sinned, and not a literal truth, I believe the neanderthals were part of God's guiding evolution.

The same as any scientist. Evolution is a widely accepted viewpoint for christians and atheist's alike!

Evangelist's give creationalism way too much credit. What's said in genesis is correct however, just like most great writing, it is full of symbolism, metaphor's and other writing techniques.

Do we all believe whatever is read or put in a movie or has common sense and objectivity died?

Neanderthals are nonexistent. upon examination of the skeleton they found it was fust an old man that suffered from arthritis and possibly rickits. No matter what the government shove down school kids throats evolution is not real possibly the biggest objection to this theory is the fossil record which shows no transitional animals. I am a Christain and firmly believe in Jesus creating the world if God did not make the world where did the cosmic gasses come from that you claim made the Earth? It just doesn't make logical sense!

I don't think christians have to explain every skeletal remain that is found. No one alive today was around to see "neanderthals" so no one really knows.
Many of these archaeological findings have been shown to be fakes and frauds. Such as the Piltdown man, nebraksa man, pig tooth man, etc...
It doesn't shake my faith when some scientist finds a skeleton and makes a claim.

Next week they may find a skeleton of a midget and claim that we all used to be 3 feet tall.

You can't rely on the dating methods that have been used as they too have proven to have a lot of errors.

I would suggest you read a book like Darwin's Black Box to get another perspective on things.

they havent got one
but i have ,all these earlier versions were mistrials ,as the Anunaki were experimenting in creating slaves to mine their gold for them,
by genetic engineering and cloning.
the reptilian brain ,we got is a souvenir of the genetics of the Anunaki.
the Homo Sapian was the end product
All lived around the same time ,in the same place ,near the oldest gold mines in the world, in Zimbabwe ,
which means -deep deposits

Ack, they are not early man, neither were they deformed or wrong. They were another species, with much larger brains and bigger muscles. Man only managed to come out on top because our brain's are more specialised so we were cleverer.

Neanderthals are not the "cave men" people claim them to be. They're as human as anyone.

Scientists are not willing to believe that we were created by intelligent design but the do believe that billions of years ago cosmic rays caused bacteria to all of a sudden grow life that eventually became us tell me which sounds crazier.
