i got movies in .avi file. but cannot play in my dvd player. so what should i do?? i use nero 6 for wirting cds.

you might want to do some conversion here. divx files ends with avi extension. some players can play divx, but not all avi's however are divx. so its safer to convert it to mpeg1, burn it to vcd using nero . Im sure your dvd player can play vcd. you can download virtual dub to do the conversion. this is freeware.

You can try opening a new DVD project in Nero (use the wizard it should be easier). Then import the .avi and burn the DVD. Even if you do this successfully your DVD player may not play it (compatibility issues). You could just go out and buy a cheap brand player that will play avi and wmv and mp3 type files.

If u have a DVD writer on your pc, just put your avi file on a dvd using Nero or Power Producer (usually they come with Windows XP Service Pack 2

if you wanna watch it on your computer u have to download and install ''DivX'', u can download it from www.download.com
if you wanna write it on a DVD you can use Nero and it will automatically turn the avi file to a dvd file.

once you've a reliable cd burning software it really is going to burn the AVI document contained in the SVCD or VCD element of your burning software. attempt burning it as a SVCD project or VCD project onto a wide-spread CD-R then which will play on your dvd participant
