This guy is at the barber shop, getting his haircut, when he gets into a discussion with his barber over the existence of God. The barber claims that there is way too much injustice and suffering in the world for there to possibly be God.

The customer listens patiently while his hair is being cut, so as not to disturb his barber's fine work, and when everything is done, and he looks great, he pays the bill and heads down the street.

Five minutes later, he comes back with another man, whose hair looks as if it hadn't been cut in years, all knotted and dirty too.

"Well sir," says the man to his barber, "I just want you to know that I don't believe in the existence of barbers. . .for if there was such a thing, my friend here would not have such disastrous hair."

"Oh no!", said the barber, "This does not disprove the existence of barbers, but rather only shows what happens when people forget about their barber."

Have a great day, everyone!

And the moral is? Sounds like you're making out that the barber is contradicting himself...

nice one and put across so simply, I remember reading this some years back about a Christian inventor and an Atheist friend of his but I cannot recall the actual names, but this event happened in England back in the last century and the story goes that the inventor and his friend used to have many regular debates concerning the existence of a Creator God and the Atheist used to visit and argue his point on a weekly basis.
the inventor was in the process of constructing a working mechanical model ot the Sun and the planets and so for months he kept this work secret from his friend until one day when he had finished it he put it on show in his parlour.
the Atheist not aware of it started his usual commenting on their being no such thing as God and said`there is no evidence of a God in creation` and the inventor asked` then how do you explain how the solar system came about,to which the friend replied,` Oh, it just happened to evolve by itself`.
so the inventor took him into his parlour and showed him the mechanical model, the Atheist was astounded by the intricate works and how all the little planets revolved in perfect time around the Sun at their centre, and so he said to the inventor` how did this come about` and the inventor replied ,`oh,it just happened to evolve all by itself`!
this is a true story and I will have to try and find the source again.
best regards to you.

Sounds like the barber got caught in a Catch-22. Either there is no God and people are just insensitive to others, or they have forgotten God (meaning He exists). I believe in God and do good deeds.

When America's Founding Fathers forgot about God we got the US Constitution and the most successful democratic republic in human history.

When Bush talked to God we got the disaster in Iraq.

What's your point?
