Make sure that you bring the GPS device when you go climbing.

This is a great way to vacation. Since your new at it, find a decent campground. Most tents now are very easy to put up, and if you go an outdoors store they can show you pretty quickly. With building a fire, start with lots of small kindling to get it going, then add bigger pieces as it builds. Make sure you keep all food out of your tent and in your car as to not attract animals.

if you've never camped don't start by going completly primitive start out at a state park with designated camp grounds . . in Texas they have picnic tables, bbq's, fire rings, water, electricity , a level tent site and most have a centrally located potty house with hot showers. . Tents are getting easier and easier to put up . . make it as easy and comfortable as you can so you can enjoy it . you can alway leave the campsite for a hike . . or swim or what ever . . Me and my hubby started camping when we were just dating a long time ago and I feel those were always some of the best times we still have camping now with our family

lol....yes i think it would be a great experience to have together...something to add to your memories.
I would suggest doing some reading on the internet to ensure that you take everything that you need (lots of insect repellant) and also some tent pitching and other camping tips.
It is really nice that the two of you can get away from the bustle of daily life and 'rough it' out a bit.
Helps you bond with nature and appreciate life in a totally different way.
Enjoy the great outdoors, the fresh clean air, the sounds of the birds and of course being in the company of your lover.
Hope you have lots of fun
Take Care

Take someone with that knows how to camp. You could start a wildfire and hurt animals.

learn what you can before you go....or go to a campsite that has cabins and make that your first experience.....then you'll at least know what to expect before you really rough it in a tent.
