There are many today but I am still KJV.. I think it is the safest one for me.I realize that i am ignorant to all these new translations, but I feel that if God would have wanted us English speaking people to have to have the revised addition He would have made sure we got it instead of what we have today. It is confusing to me all these new translations and God is not the author of confusion.I know that it doesn't speak like the way we talk today but maybe that wouldn't be so bad either.Peter when denying Jesus was accused of speaking in a way that caused people to believe that he was with Jesus.Maybe it wouldn't hurt for some of us to learn to speak in the same way.Matthew 26:73-74 ; Mark 14:69-71

Yeah,it's called the new international version. It's actually published by the same company that publishes the satanic book.
The "new" king james version is no better.
People want God to change according to the way they want to live, not the other way around. That's why Christians are getting lost in the crowd. They become part od everyday society, and not the salt of the earth.

I read one that did not 'jive' with the other Bibles I read. I set it aside and do not read it. But I cannot remember what it was called. Some of the newer Bibles are very helpful in understanding what words in the old testament mean in a way that we can better understand. Both are important, the original word and a meaning of it that we can understand. One word can mean many things. Changing the meaning of scripture is wrong. Understanding the meaning in our language is good.

I found this and wanted to go ahead and post it for you and others.
I haven't read through it and don't use this website, so :-P

First few lines of the site below:

A brand-new translation of the Bible – praised by Britain's archbishop of Canterbury, that nation’s senior Christian voice – flatly contradicts traditional core Christian beliefs on sex and morality.

Titled "Good as New," the new Bible is translated by former Baptist minister John Henson for the "One" organization, to produce what the group calls a "new, fresh and adventurous" translation of the Christian scriptures.

Archbishop Rowan Williams

The 104th archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams – leader of the Church of England – describes it is a book of "extraordinary power," but admitted many would be startled by its content.

"Instead of condemning fornicators, adulterers and 'abusers of themselves with mankind'," says Ruth Gledhill, the London Times religious affairs correspondent, "the new version of his first letter to Corinth has St. Paul advising Christians not to go without sex for too long in case they get 'frustrated.'"

Have you heard of any versions or translations that wasn't contradicting and that didn't twist beliefs and remove important texts? I have, only one . . . The Hebrew/Greek/English Interlinear Bible.

yes because of the heavy influence of Jewish bankers and lobbies in America, there are plans to take all references to the Jewish involvement of murdering Christ out of the scriptures and also to reduce most of Christs miracles to ordinary circumstances, thus paving the way for totally humanizing Jesus tot the extent that He wasn`t divine at all
already the evidence of this is happening what with Pastors refuting the miracle of the loaves and fishes, some are saying now that it was not miraculous and in fact Jesus embarrassed the people into sharing their hidden lunches with each other..
so start watching for this modernism to increase in Christian media in the near future.
best regards to you.

You talking about mormonism? Sorry, bad joke.

Read the very end of Revelations. Anyone who erases or adds anything to the bible will be taken out of the book of life or have every plague delivered unto them...
