When you see funny movies and someone tells you jokes. That's for sure. But when you are not in a good mood even if someone act interestingly to make you laugh or tells you jokes you won't laugh.

it all depends on your own personal sense of humour.

me i have a wicked, dark and sometimes childish sense of humour - therefore i can laugh at most things.

it also depends on the mood you are in - if you are unhappy then you may not find something funny, that you might have done the day before.

for example -
why did the squirrel fall out of the tree???
because it was dead.
why did the second squirrel fall out of the tree???
because it holding the first squirrel.
why did the third squirrel fall out of the tree???
because it thought it was a game.

this sort of joke might make you smile or groan, depending on the type of person you are.

laughter is an emotional response to something that is percieved in an unusual manner often times. The basis of a joke is setup and punch, the setup paints a picture for the person and the punch shatters that original picture and creates a whole new one.

For example: If I gave you the setup "For thanksgiving I took my father out" Right away you have an assumption that says a number of things. 1) taking him out to eat 2)spending time with him 3) you love your dad
Then you deliver the punch which could be a number of things but in this case we'll use this one. Again the setup "For thanksgiving I took my father out...with a shotgun" there's your punch, now we have a new picture stating that we're gonna kill him.

I don't know why but anytime that I see one of my friends trip and/or fall down on their butts, that makes me crack up. I mean, I don't want them hurt or wish them injured, but it's hilarious.
