I have been accepted into University to four courses. They are from the same Uni, but I enjoy all four languages, therefore don't know which one to accept!
The courses are -
German and Polish
German and Czech
German and Italian
German and Russian

I live in Scotland, and I already speak a lot of German, however the other four would be from scratch.

Thanks in advance!

Choose the language that you are the most passionate about.
If you love Italian hillsides and the beauty of Tuscany choose Italian!
If you want to hold St. Peterburg in the palm of your hand and squeeze it so hard the juice runs into youir heart choose Russian!
Etc., Etc

Russian and German have similar pronunciation. And actually, Russian is quite easy to learn, as soon as you learn the alphabet. I think the idea of having to learn the cyrillic alphabet puts people off. But as a teacher of the MFL and Russian language & Culture, students feel very confident in their second and third years. Russian Grammar is not difficul and there are fewer exceptions than in the other 3 languages.

Probably it'd be the easiest to learn Italian. Russian - well, it's quite difficult to get used to the "letters", although when you learn them at last, it makes you really proud of yourself :). I am Polish and my language is said to have a very difficult grammar... Well, even I must say it's true, I have no idea how could I explain it to anybody... I don't know Czech - I think it's similar to Polish, at last it sounds similar.
So, I don't know what should you choose. Italian would be definitely the easiest one. If you don't mind learning something complicated, my answer will be, of course, Polish... It'd be strange if I gave a different answer :).

so keep the German for a good grade since you already speak German. For the other one can you get Japanese, or even Chinese, these are the up and commers language wise. think Global
Also consider what it is you plan to do in life that might help you to make a choice that will be benificial to your future.
