It is a tool for examinig your own unconscious. A bit like examining what surfaces in dreams. Useful if you have to make decisions, because you will divine from the cards what you want to; they can tell you what YOU want to do when you can't tell for yourself.

I don't believe in the fortune-telling bit. That's all in the skill of the reader, reading the signals from the sitter and asking the right questions.

I have read the cards for myself and for friends on occassion I am no expert but I am learning. Already I have seen things that came out in a throw of the cards come to reality for both my friends and for myself. There were times that I did not understand the cards until after the event but there have also be more times that I knew exactly what the cards were talking about and that very thing had then come to pass. I find them to be a guide to open possibilities but I do not believe that they control your future or read the future or contact the devil or anything like that. I think that if you listen for it the voice of the universe can speak to you through the cards. The problems and variations come in the fact that we must then interpret the meaning of what the cards are saying and here there is much room for mistake, or crookery. If you want to read the cards for yourself, get a deck and a good book and with a little time and effort you can do it for yourself. Now how far you want to go is up to you but even at the start you will be able to get some guidance from the spreads. Namaste

I have been sudying the tarot for a few years now. Slowly I have learned how to read the cards. It is purely mechanics. The cards are all assigned different meanings. The ones showing encourage the subject to "concentrate" on a particular area of life or self and the "reader" picks up these thoughts and feelings. The perception is in the ability of the reader to receive and interperate the subject"s thoughts. It would seem highky unlikely that a subjects cards could be accurately read without the subject being present as is sometimes suggested.

I do tarot. Ive also been read. Tarot started out as just a deck of cards with each card a unique painting in Italy. It then became readings. Most people just do it for fun. Some though have been very accurate. Its up to you to decide whether the reading is coincedence or if there is merit to it. Good Luck

I've seen Tarot readers. I've done it myself. It's just mind games.

Really, it is just a bunch of cards with pretty pictures. In the hands of a good cold reader, it can be very convincing. Cold reading is a skill that takes practice. However, there is no real fortunetelling going on there.

Anyone can learn to read cards - it is all about being a true psychic using the cards as a vehicle to really be effective, though.

I have a friend who reads for me but she can also guide me even over the phone without cards.

She has been right all the time - even as to where to find a lost dog.

relies upon on what card she observed. What variety of reading exchange into she doing? it could be that she picked up on a mix of issues. in case you experience attracted to a healing course including nursing or another style of healing, then learn that. do no longer decide for a profession merely in keeping with a reading. permit the reading instruction manual you, yet do learn and make your judgements on a great style of motives.

I went to a tarot reader years ago (skeptically), but after many years of doubt, I am finally ready to broaden my mind and realize that there's more to the cosmos than meets the eye.

She predicted, accurately, that I would never get hemorrhoids.

I have had people do a Tarot reading for me...more than once. It's interesting, a little spooky. But nothing I fear.
