I'm a South African and live in Korea as well. You don't need a visa to visit Hong Kong if you are just passing through. If you are going to stay longer than 30 days, you may need one. But I guess you only need info on getting your visa for Korea there. I've done this many times before and you can e-mail me if you need any further help. If you are gonna stay just a day or two, you will get a visitor's visa for 30 days once you land there.

south african nationals dont need visa if they want to stay in hongkong for 30 days or less.
