We are indeed all people.
It's just that when thousands of organized protesters wave foreign flags while shouting anti-American slogans swarm the streets of our country.......well, we tend to take that somewhat offensively

Yes, we are. Some of us (ANTI-ILLEGALS) follow the rules, and some (PRO-ILLEGALS) do not, so naturally, good, honest, and decent citizens get frustrated and resentful against those that refuse to follow the rules. It is no surprise then if we can't get along as you seem to think.
If someone cuts in line in front of you at the store, do suddenly embrace them and call them "friend?" It's really about the same concept only far worse and on a larger scale. Until all the criminals are deported or locked up, it is understandable that there will be some insulting and resentment.

saying pro illegal and anti illegal isn't insulting anyone. However alot of people on here (especially those that are anti-illegal) get insulting to try to prove a point. I am all for people respecting other opinions - even those that go so far against what you believe.

Well, read more about the issues, and you'll understand the polarizations...'can't we all just get along' were Rodney King's immortal words after the L.A. riots, but the truth is, people ARE different, have different backgrounds, different temperaments, different views, and it's very difficult to interface your views with those of others, sometimes. The best way to go forward is to read extensively and try and gain a more thorough understanding of all of this.

Yes I am anti illegal, you won't find to many pros on here at this time in the morning. As every one said before it's not about the illegals not being people. it's about them breaking our laws.

To distinguish what we believe in? It's no different than being called a vegetarian, or a student...it is just an explanatory term. It isn't like it's derogatory, unless you are embarrassed to be called a pro-illegal.

Yes we are all people. However there are some that believe new laws should be maken to forgive the criminals! Where as other believe if a law is broken there should be punishment for it. After all why bother having laws if they are not obeyed! If by being friends you mean handout amnesty! forget it a law is a law. IF we trash that law then all other laws need to be trashed too!

Pro means you are "for" something..."anti" means you are against something. Soooo....pro-illegal means you are for illegal immigrants and anti-illegal means you are against illegal immigrants.
So my question to you is: If these are descriptive words based on ones beliefs how is it hateful?
