Like many of the others, we have a "classroom" but do most of the work outside of it. The room is used more for storage and organization of the supplies needed. There is a full size desk and computer in the room. Our learning often comes from outside the home through theaters, museums, and other field trips.
This is just one wonderful area of homeschooling. It is personalized to the child not the environment. Whatever works best for the child is style that should be set up.

First let me say that I have been homeschooled all my life. With that said, we technically have a classroom, but we don't really do our work in it. Most of the time I do school in the dining room, living room, or my bedroom. In our schoolroom we have three desks (there are three kids in my family), a really big chalkboard, and three or four bookshelves full of books.
I think the reason we created a schoolroom was to try and keep all the books and stuff in one area so the schoolstuff wouldn't takeover the house. When I was little I lived in a smaller house, so there wasn't a schoolroom, and the desks were put in the dining room/living room. I think schoolrooms are better because the school stuff looks out of place and somewhat intrusive if you put it in a room like the dining room.

There are a mess of curricula accessible in the marketplace. there are a selection of information superhighway based homeschool curricula. in a great number of of those, there's a video feed of the coach. There are communicate forums for students to interact with each and every diverse. also, in a great number of places there are homeschool help agencies. those agencies many cases fixed their own diverse kinds some cases a week. they're exceedingly sensible and supportive, exceedingly once you're thinking homeschooling, despite the indisputable fact that purely do no longer recognize in which to commence. the coed receives to fulfill diverse close by homeschooled students at those agencies. maximum individuals are less than the impact that homeschoolers are completely introverted and do not in any respect go out into the international and interact with persons. this purely isn't. I went to public employer through fifth grade and now that i'm homeschooled, I do plenty better social concerns than I did at the same time as i change into once in public employer. Plus, you get a better physically powerful custom preparation. you are able to adjust the diverse kinds to fulfill your demands. those agencies better usually than no longer have carrying activities communities that compete in the direction of diverse colleges (diverse homeschool agencies, structure colleges, Christian colleges, and many cases public colleges). I want this helps!

I've been home-schooled every since first grade and I've never had a specific work place. I work in the kitchen, in my room, if the weather is good I work outside on my front porch and enjoy the sunshine! Some of my best memories of home-schooling is working outside with my family. I do have a regular homework desk that I use every once in a while, but I'd rather complete my home work just sitting on my bed listening to classical music.

My children have full size office desks and file drawers. They don't always use the desks. I run a bookkeeping office for a construction company and we have a mobile-home/office that is separate from our house. I have 2 large desks and 2 work tables that are there primarily for school-work. More often than not my children study while sitting on couch in our living room.

yes we have a classroom with bookcases a big chalk board and standard school desks. We use to have the chalk board mounted to the living room wall but as the classes got more detailed we found it easier to designate a room only for school without extra distractions. We do most of our "paper work" in there.

Nope, no classroom. I am looking for a good sized desk for my 6 year old though. These days we do most of our schoolwork on the bed. We have a large atlas that we use as a writing surface. This helps keep things casual which is kind of good and kind of bad, mostly good.

Hey!
Well, I don't have a "Classroom" really. But, I do have a class space where all of my studies take place. A section of my bedroom is used only for my studies, all of my books are there, my desk and my laptop for research and writing papers. I also have hung a few inspiring posters and other things that help me keep focused.

I didn't have one when I was younger , but my siblings always talked about wanting one. We just used the kitchen table, the floor, our beds, ext. And that was OK with me. My mother wanted one because she wanted order with our school, i may want one for my children, but I don't know yet. Perhaps I will when they're younger and then when they're older they'll just have desks in their bedrooms.

Yes. That's where I am right now. It's a class room setting with a tv, a couch, and video games. But it's mostly a classroom.
