What breed of parrot as there are several parrot rescue societies. Ring your local RSPCA and ask them for a local rescue centre or ask them to take the parrot and find it a good home with knowledgeable parrot owners as these lovely birds need a lot of attention. Or type in "parrot rescue" on Google and they will come up with several sites for reputable societies and there are some in the Midlands.

have you done a google? Are you wanting to sign over a parrot or are you just looking for what you think will be a cheap parrot? I do rescue (not in your area though) and have strict criteria about who gets to adopt. They aren't free and most of the parrots which end up being given to me and other rescues are not nice tame talking pets. Those kind are worth lots of money and get sold. Rescue centres get given the screamers, biters, feather pluckers, and sick ones. Not really the sort of parrots people want when they phone me to ask about adopting a parrot.
I get lots of calls, they all say that they want to 'rescue' a poor parrot, and that they believe in rescuing rather than buying, but when I mention that I have some ready for new homes, but they bite or scream and that they have to pay a donation, all of a sudden they don't want one from rescue any more. I wonder why?
