In Judaism there is no revolt. Satan "works" for G-d. Angels do not have the free will humans have. Judaism is not dualistic, all things come from G-d.
Also the Purpose for Humans in Judaism is actually pleasure.
G-d has no needs or wants so he made us as an act of love and giving. Life is meant to be pleasurable.
When you bring in mysticism (which has greatly molded Jewish thought), our purpose grows to include perfecting the world.

All of Jehovah God's intelligent creations were given the gift of free will.Angels are spirit beings.
Jehovah also wanted the earth to be inhabited and therefore created human beings. He designed the first human pair perfect, with the ability to live forever. However due to Satan misusing his free will,he enticed and tricked Adam and Eve into disobeying God and thereby sinning. As a result they forfeited their perfect state and ability to live forever. They started to age, grow old and eventually died.As offspring of Adam and Eve we too all age,get sick, grow old and die.But this was not God's purpose for man.And very soon now Jehovah God will bring about destruction on this wicked system of things and introduce his righteous new system of things where peace and harmony will once again be restored. And obedient man will have the opportunity to regain all that Adam had lost.

The bible says nothing about angels having free will. Not really. Look into what they claim as their basis for their belief, and you'll see that it is very vague and seems to be a "made up" theory.
In Islam, we do not believe angels have free will but that they are in a constant state of obedience and worship.
God/Allah created, in this order:
1. Angels (from light) - constantly obey
2. Jinn (from the smokeless fire) - capacity to obey or disobey
3. Adam (from the clay/dirt) - capacity to obey or disobey
4. Eve (from Adam's rib) - capacity to obey or disobey
Man has a will but it is subject to God's Will.
Very simple, plain, and makes sense.

I do not know the connection between the first and second sentence. Both angels and men have free will. It does not make man useless. Man's purpose is to love and serve God with all his heart, mind and energy. Loving God is shown by the love and service we give to our fellow man. Life is God's gift to man - He didn't have to make us but he wanted us to share in his goodness. Isn't it just wonderful to be alive?!

We all have free will, or in other words, AGENCY.
Satan once was an angel but he chose darkness and evilness and was the first one to fall.
That's the greatest thing about Heavenly Father's plan for us. We have a CHOICE, angel or devil.
In the end our choices will determine where we end up. heaven or hell.

That was all before the Angelic Act of 5600 BCE. Angels enjoyed freedom of speech and thought until God lost all sense of fair-play and became a tyrant. No Angels were allowed to criticize his government after that.
"Thou art for me or against me."

God is creative God and we are just one of His creations that He loves and cares for.
Man and woman were made in the image of God with individuality, the power and freedom to think and to do. Though created free beings, each is an indivisible unity of body, mind, and spirit, dependent upon God for life and breath and all else. When our first parents disobeyed God, they denied their dependence upon Him and fell from their high position under God. The image of God in them was marred and they became subject to death. Their descendants share this fallen nature and its consequences. They are born with weaknesses and tendencies to evil. But God in Christ reconciled the world to Himself and by His Spirit restores in penitent mortals the image of their Maker. Created for the glory of God, they are called to love Him and one another, and to care for their environment. (Gen. 1:26-28; 2:7; Ps. 8:4-8; Acts 17:24-28; Gen. 3; Ps. 51:5; Rom. 5:12-17; 2 Cor. 5:19, 20; Ps. 51:10; 1 John 4:7, 8, 11, 20; Gen. 2:15.)
