Now, read the question right. I'm not asking for a sermon. I'm asking a very honest question and would appreciate a very honest answer!

Being a Christian is one of the hardest things you could ever love being. I, for one, have questioned my belief, even practiced other religions, or at least studied them.

Became quiet a theology student.

But God called me back in the form of my son. I was entering a new world of discovery, and He knew I needed him more than ever now.

A lot of people doubt. We are of little faith, whether we are the pastor of a 30,000 strong church or the guy professing prophecy on the corner. God is good, but we sometimes have a hard time resting our strength in him.

Jesus in John 14:12 & Mark 16:17-18 said: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth in me, the works that I do shall he also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." This implies that Jesus’ true followers should be able to routinely perform the following tricks: 1) cast out devils, 2) speak in tongues, 3) take up serpents, 4) drink poisons without harm, and 5) cure the sick by touching them and MANY other of Jesus’ "works". Curiously I have yet to see a Christian that can do any of the above on demand.

If any one not willing to go through this tests then your religion is fake or man made..........

Yes, it is natural to question and doubt. The fact that a Christian could have such a struggle is a way to get affirmation of the truth of the Bible. Those doubts cause us to dig deeper to understand. For example, the three ways to look at who Jesus is goes like this: He is either a liar, a lunatic or Lord. There is no other way to look at who He is, based on what we know. Examining "liar" and "lunatic" allows us to see that only "Lord" could apply. If doubt causes such examination, it can lead to a deeper faith. Paul discusses themes like this in Romans.

I did go through a time where I thought CHristianity was wrong. I was agnostic, then a Wiccan. But I went back to chrisitianity because it was the only religion that made me feel right. I felt like I was dirty and was tense all the time as a Wiccan. As a Catholic, I felt whole and at peace with myself.

ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS: 1.How many religions can you think of whose members engage in war? (1John 4:20) says "If anyone make the statement:I love God, and yet is hating his brother, he is a liar." Jesus said: continue to love your enemies. 2. Does your religion teach that the soul does not die? (Ecclesiastes 9:5) "The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all." Jesus taught that the dead will be resurrected an unnecessary action if humans had an immortal soul. 3. Do you know of religions that condone immoral sex? Even churches that condemn immorality have tolerated religious leaders who have sexually abused children. The bible teaches and plainly states: "Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men...will inherit God's kingdom. (1Corinthians 6:9,10). AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF.

I don't think it is a matter of right or wrong as a whole but is it right or wrong for themselves. That is what matters. We all live under one god no matter what faith you are. I truelly believe this and when others understand this we will all live together in peace. Respect others faiths and do not try to convert others unless they are willing to convert on their own. We don't have to understand each others faith fully just respect the belief of others.

Me honey..
I thought of this one day & decided to discover the truth myself... I found that my mind refuses so many ideas of the christian belief.
I started my search , I converted from catholic to protestant & studied judism & Islam
& I'm reall thinking of adopting Islam. it's where I found things that matches both my heart & mind. but yet I don't wanna take the decision so now I'm just a truth seeker.. that refused to be blindly walking on a way of ppl I know,, without thinking if it's right or wrong..
all of us must think Once & twice & trice wither our belief's right or wrong..
cuz it's not an easy thing to take the riks.. :)
clear?

thank you for the question, Velvet. What i come across exciting is that people who say that the Catholic Church follows in basic terms the classes of adult males look to concentration in basic terms on the flaws which t h e y can no longer locate evidenced in scripture or won't nicely called being there (like baptism and confession, and eucharist, etc). in addition they forget approximately bearing directly to the Catholic teachings bearing directly to how salvation comes approximately, etc, which they could accept as true with. What they don't comprehend is that by using specializing in what they see incorrect with the Catholic Church, they base their faith on being good (or extra effective than Catholics) fairly of basing it on Jesus and on what he honestly taught (and that i do no longer recommend the two or 3 scripture passages quoted out of context that particular communities factor to to instruct how "incorrect" Catholics are).

My most honest answer to you is that I am a Christian, and I do not wonder IF it is correct. That doesn't matter...in all honesty, it is correct for ME! So therefore I don't judge anyone else for their beliefs; Christian, Jewish, Muslim, etc...as we are all where we're comfortable, and that's important.
