Hey everyone..need some advise and quick! Ex and i have been
broken up since labor day. We have been going back and forth
with the calls, you know the maybe this and maybe that, but now
I get for me it is over..I need to move on. He has had all this time
to get his crap out of my place, that has never happened nor has
he given me my stuff back. I dropped his truck off to him, along
with his clothes in it...he still has not given me my stuff back. I have
a couple of items of his that I do not want anymore. I have found
someone to but them, is it wrong for me to sell them? I have given
him enough time and he just won't do anything about this...
What do I do...once they are sold I will FINALLY get my peace
and closure..is that wrong?

You will not have peace and closure. You may wind up with a court case for selling his property illegally. Why are you waiting for him to give you your things? Get your stuff, with a friend, as a witness, and have his crap ready in the trunk to make a clean trade. Another option is asking the police to escort you to his home and do the switch.

I wouldn't sell his stuff.....it's not yours to sell. You could get yourself in some legal trouble if you do that. I would give him written notice & 30 days to get his crap out...THEN sell it. Make sure you keep copies for yourself, or send it by registered mail. But, be prepared to loose all your stuff too! Maybe you can find a mutual friend to do an "exchange" so neither has to see the other.

I believe there's a waiting period, most places is between 90 days and 6 months. He needs written notice from you to remove it from the premises first, and if he fails to do that in the legal time frame, then its yours to do what you want with. (make sure you send the notice certified so you have proof you actually sent it)

It is my opinion that you will not get more peace. Be kind, not matter what and God will grant you peace. Take him his stuff and be kind about it. Who knows, he may in return eventually give your stuff back. Tell him that you would like it back and be kind about it. Turn the other cheek, it will be a blessing to your heart and you will be blessed for it. Dont sell his stuff. You said it yourself, it is his stuff not yours. Be sweet and just do what is right. I hope this helps, and like I said, this is my opinion only. Blessings to you..

That's a pretty Shi**y thing to do to someone!!
The bigger thing to do is call him and give him a final ultimatum either get or it goes.. It's also the perfect time to bring up wanting back the stuff he has of yours.

just go and give it to purple heart. make sure you ask for a receipt for what you are giving them. at the end of the year you can right it off your taxes and get more money back. so that way your helping out other people and yourself.

Why don't you just put all his stuff in a big box and leave it outside his house? That or go on Judge Judy.

NOPE!! Make yo money. He is using the fact that you still have his things to be in your life one way or another sell his sh*t and tell him you want yours back. If he don't give it back tell him he can keep it but don't call u to come get it.

Don't sell them. Load them up and leave them on his doorstep. It is dishonest to sell stuff that isn't yours.
