A time machine.

I have always been fascinated with the concept of time travel, changing the past and seeing the future.

Actually, I think most people are.

Most have thought "What if" I could go back in time and rearrange a key event in their past or in history.

The future, of course, would just be fun to gaze on. So many things have changed in the last 100 years, it's difficult to imagine where we might be in another 1000 years...if we don't destroy ourselves.

...but even that would be fascinating to see:

"The day the earth died".

If and only if I could invent something, I will invent a shield. I will invent something that can replace our damaged ozone layer from all the meteors and meteorites that will enter Earth. Like in Antarctica or something like that, whatever it is, I read in the Guiness World Book of Records that it is where you will find the biggest damage of our ozone layer. If a meteor hits that place (because there is no more ozone layer) a VERY BIG tsunami will hit us. That's why if I could invent something I choose a replacement for our ozone layer. ^__^

If I tell you you would take my inventions! I don't know how to produce my product or get it patened though, thank goodness for yahoo answers. I would invent all kinds of things, things to enable you to do more. Make things more portable, enable handicapped people to do things, make things that are pretty and a cool design but also very useful.

A device which converts electromagnetic waves into electricity, well of course we have solar panels but they have numerous set-backs. I think such a device will ease the problem of electricity transmission a great deal and cut down costs, reduce logging of trees for poles and well I think it will be much safe.
Man if you have an idea on how to go about it get on with it.

An efficient way to recharge the batteries of electric cars using their motion (maybe some form of generators). Would be pretty cool, cars that literally feed themselves as they move :)
