Not important because I know for a fact that there is no way he will outlaw abortion and that his stand on it is not a reflection of my own and will not influence how I feel about it.

Abortion is likely one in each and every of the main severe themes of our time. Abortion is the killing of somewhat one. Killing is misguided no rely what the circumstances. i won't vote for a President who's professional-abortion. whether I consider a candidate on another difficulty, i won't vote for somebody who's professional-abortion. Roe v. Wade exchange right into a foul decision. each and every physique has the splendid to existence.

No matter what president we have there will always be abortion. THere has only been increase in the numbers since Bush has been in office silly people!
Bush is more concerned with the war crap than he is about the unborn babies being killed. He says he's against it just to get republicans to vote for him.
I always vote on the best man for the job, not based on whether he is republican or democrat!
ohh..and i am christian btw ! ( i don't approve of abortion, i was just getting a point across)

We need to enter the 21st century, therefore, outdated views like anti-abortion, ten commandments in the schools, and creationism have no space in the public sector. As for as the prez, he still has the power to veto, nominate judges in districts all over the country, peddle influence over congress, etc...

your right on the one hand a Presidents stance on abortion is irrelevant.
on the other hand he appoints people who's stance is very relevant. Remember the President appoints the Supreme Court.

The problem is that the president can influence OTHER people to see his point of view. He has the biggest audience in the world. He must have progressive ideas. I do not want a backward, bible-thumping troglodyte running things.

My major concern would be whether or not the president will have the opportunity to appoint anyone to the supreme court in his term. If he will be appointing judges, then I'd want a president who agrees with my POV. (I realize that the judges would still have to be approved)

His stance is hugely unimportant. He's a bigotted moron. Americans are just lucky he's not able to take away all their personal freedoms based on what he happens to find just and moral, cause face it, his concept of just and moral is hugely flawed.

I don't like abortion, but its not my body, so I have no right to decide what is right or wrong for someone else, I choose not to inflict my views onto other peoples rights.
Don't make your beliefs into my laws is a good way of summing it up.
