BTW, I'm talking about a bottle you buy before entering the airport. Unless someone knows if Gatwick or Heathrow carry Zubrowka??

Shouldn't be a problem. If you can get a big bottle of whisky in your hand luggage from UK to Australia (we did) you should be fine within the EU if it's just one or two bottles.

Howver, check the regulations with the airline carrier, there may still be restrictions with liquids on 'planes.

Yes my sister and her boyfriend flew off to Hong Kong in April and took a bottle of bubbly in their hand luggage. Everything was fine and they even checked with the staff before they boarded the plane. It should be fine.

At the moment you can carry up to 100ml of liquid in a clear plastic container in your hand luggage. apart from that you will have to check it in or buy it after customs.

only if you buy it after the baggage checks at the airport. Coming back form berlin people had to throw any drink they had with them away

It's fine, as long as you put it in your main luggage only. If you try to carry it on or put in your hand luggage it will be confiscated.
