I am not Catholic but one's past does not dictate one's future. It influences but it doesn't control.

Mistakes are made, people mature in thought, people admit failures, forgiveness is granted, lessons are learned....

I believe there is many a convicted murderer and rapist in the kingdom of Heaven now while those with their noses stuck up in the air, those who think they are "better than that" are burning in a terrible hell....

God forgives. God heals. God changes hearts. God will forgive any who call upon Him in sincerity and faith.

you, too.

God bless!!

ohh this one is amazingly straight forward... The Communist party is atheist, you cant believe in a god. In 1940's the Soviet Union change into communist so easily everyone had to believe in no god. For Nazi Germany nonetheless believed in God, it change into on the beltbuckle of a few German squaddies. And at the same time as Nazi Germany invaded Russia it change into considered as a holy campaign through the Pope. Even a religious human being might want to be sure it that way, Germany invading the heathens that dont believe in a god and liberating the individuals so that they could worship back..... truly it change into for German domination, also truly besides the actual undeniable actuality that easily everyone appears to be like suppossed to be atheist, there have been nonetheless some church homes, or human beings worshipped in secret..you even might want to save in mind that just about no human being knew about the holocaust until eventually after the conflict..So the Pope couldnt excommunicate him because he change into useless, and a couple of in way supportted battling the atheist Russians.

The Pope was never a Nazi....
He was in the Nazi youth which was mandatory at the time if you were either German or Austrian. However he was young and even Jewish leaders and Rabbi's haev praised him and all his interfaith work.

Hope I am doing this right....

"As a young man, the new pope served in the Hitler Youth - compulsory for young Germans at the time - and during World War II was drafted into a German anti-aircraft unit, although he says he never fired a shot. Though Benedict has been a leading voice in the church in battling anti-Semitism and fostering Jewish-Catholic relations, his past raised suspicions in the Jewish state." http://www.infowars.com/articles/world/pope_benedict_israel_praises_despite_nazi_ties.htm

"The son of a rural Bavarian police officer, Ratzinger was six when Hitler came to power in 1933. His father, also called Joseph, was an anti-Nazi whose attempts to rein in Hitler’s Brown Shirts forced the family to move home several times. In 1937 Ratzinger’s father retired and the family moved to Traunstein, a staunchly Catholic town in Bavaria close to the Führer’s mountain retreat in Berchtesgaden. He joined the Hitler Youth aged 14, shortly after membership was made compulsory in 1941." http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2089-1572667,00.html

Although the Hitler Youth was compulsory, and many of its members had no choice but to participate as members, several notable figures have drawn attention in the media as former Hitler Youth members. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitler_Youth#Membership

I am the last person to defend the Pope, but if you were a young man in Germany, you had to join the Nazi party and serve.

The fact that he was in the Nazi party is not much of a suprise.

The Times newspaper in England reports a Government Study that shows the majority of prisoners who declare a religious faith to be serving time for sexual offences! Perhaps it is all the biblical references to love!

Sadly religion does not prevent people getting involved in all sorts of crime, unacceptable behaviour, or, as they would see it - sinning. That is what humans do.

Errr, that's a little misleading. I have no opinion about the guy to begin with, but he was a member of the Hitler Youth and as far as I know, he had no choice in the matter.

Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

He knows both sides of the coin and that makes him very smart because he can relate to both.

Whether a group of people in this world is doing good or bad he'll know why from the mental point of view instead of just by their actions, then he'd also know how to deal with it also.

ok....i dont like Catholics and the pope...

but it think you have purposefully twisted the truth, the pope was a memeber of some nazi party in his "youth"...

Did you know that Muhammed was a mass-murderer and a tyrant and muslims claim he is a messenger of God...eh...

i to heard that. but need more concrete proof. yes there are evidences pointing to that, have seen some including some pictures and records. but these need to be proved and authenticated.

till such time it is wrong to point fingers at him. lets give him the benefit of doubt. if he really did something bad, and hiding it jesus christ will punish him. have faith in jesus chrit and god.
