My ex and I have had a rough few months, things are starting to get better, we talk and are pretty good friends (there still is some tension). His birthday is ina week and I want to get him a gift, good idea or no? But what do I get him!?! I used to get him nice things, but feel like I shouldnt spend to much on him no that were apart and things are rough. Also what about christmas? He recently went to college and is going to be 18. pleasee help.

I think a card should be enough. You don't want him to get the wrong idea.

If things are that rough, maybe just a card, or if you'd like things to get better, a comedy DVD or a newly released CD of a band that he likes. You right not to spend too much at this stage.

Good luck.

get him a shirt or a sweater for his birthday.
that is the best gift to buy for a guy.

and also you are no longer together, so you dont need to get him gifts for every occasion. you should choose christmas or his birthday. i would go for his birthday.

A birthday wish or casual card is enough. He's your ex, so it's better not to sweat for him.

buy him a card
if you are planning on getting back to gether with him buy him something nicer but if your just gonna be friends why waste your money. friends dont get mad for just recieving cards they like it. and on christmas get him a star bucks gift card
