The only thing in tea that could really be considered "bad" for you is the caffeine. Most nutritionists and health experts suggest that you drink green tea and black pekoe tea for the antioxidants they have in them. A word of warning, however: The stuff you get from Snapple, Arizona, Lipton, etc., is LOADED with high fructose corn syrup, which is the father of all dietary evil. It makes you fat, it raises your "bad" cholesterol and triglycerides, and it lowers your "good" cholesterol. So if you're going to drink tea, it's best to brew it yourself and then add a little Splenda if it's too bitter for your taste.

on the contrary, tea is good for you. Always try to get tea leaves rather than ready mix powder type. Get your green tea from Japanese Grocers
