hi
i have been over 20st for 15 years after having a brain tumour removed.this stopped my production of growth hormone needed for braking down fat.
my resting heartbeat is 60 - 65.my blood pressure is 115/80.apart from my side affects of my drugs my doctor says this can only be down to being a veggie for 27 years.
i do not suffer heartburn or any stomach problems.
i walk 20 - 30 miles a week and bench press 180 lb (4 sets of 8) every other day.
before my illness i was a dry stone wall builder in Yorkshire and i am of the belief that the environment and diet of your first 12 years of your life make a large difference to your body's ability to deal with illness later on in life.
my suggestion would be to give up meat and sugar for 3 days and eat plenty of fruit and veg.
3 days is not that long if it helps you feel better.
hope this helps

For exactly the same reason underweight and normal range weight people get heartburn, increased acid production in the stomach. Heartburn is nothing to do with your heart if that's what you're thinking. If it's chest pain, well, that's a different set of answers altogether.
If your question was worded simply to get a reaction then try to think of something a little more controversial and/or original.

Im assuming that if they are overweight they may not be very healthy in a few aspects. I am always working out, excercising, I dont eat candy, drink soda, watch TV, or even chew gum. I dont eat thing that are slightly unhealthy due to added taiste and I have never had heartburn in my life. I have heard somewhere that doctors are trying to trick you and drinking some orange juice or some vinigar would make it go right away, they said its lack of acid not access acid.

Foods that cause heartburn and foods that cause obesity have much in common. A diet high in fatty foods will cause both heartburn and obesity.

All body shapes get heartburn. But from your limited information I guess you have done it to get a reaction. Boring.

Obesity causes the abdominal contents( including the stomach) to be shifted upwards. This "load" causes stomach acid to spill into the esophagus. Acid in the esophagus is called "acid reflux". Anbody can have reflux, overweight or not, but obesity predisposes one to it BY the way, heart burn is a misnomer. The heart is not burned. The location of the pain when you get acid reflux is similiar to the location of cardiac (heart) pain. That is why it's called "heart burn".
