It doesn't happen all the time, but I'd say about 95% of the time, when I'm really really sick, I drop to 97 degrees Fahrenheit, or very rarely, lower. There are times still when I get a fever- for example, I had a staph infection and was hospitalized, and the highest I ever went was 100.1. Weird, right? I know my regular body temp is about 98.4, so I don't get it. Any ideas? Thanks!

I would say that your body is trying to fight your sickness. That would mean that if your body has to jeopardize your body to do this it will do. As long as you are alive it doesn't matter.

It could also be that your bodies reactions are slow/confused.
