jesus turned the water into wine. but he also taught us not induldge ourselves in it. the message is do not get drunk, often misinterpreted by do not drink. to many denomonations of the christian faith drinking is wrong because the connotation between drinking and drunkeness is clear. drink=get drunk, get drunk=act like an idiot, act like an idiot=disrespect and a loss of credibility. so this connection, many feel, damages a christian's witness. I dont think drinking in moderation is wrong.
