In the Bible it states that a thousand years in our time is like a moment in time to God. Have you ever wondered if the "7 days and 7 nights to create the world" was truly what we know of as 7 days and nights or do you think it could be longer and why?

everybody is coming up with the same stupid stuff on creation again and again. instead of thousand years why cant you make it 1 billion years. so that your problem is solved. bible is happy and the scientists are also happy. because it is closer to thier estimate of the age of this universe.

the calculations mentioned in bible are taken literally out of the "book of Dzyan". ofcourse with a little changes to suit to thier tastes so that it looks very different. going by the events in history all biblical characters were of recent origin, 3000 BCE. this has been confirmed many times. firstly by believers of bible initially and later on by scientific evidence. on that count there is no difference of opinion.

neither during early days of genesis nor till recently anybody was bothered about the age of universe. everything revolved around what is written in genesis. genesis has a strong basis to believe that thier world was created about 6000 years ago. that is true. that part of the world, around israel, middle east there were lot of geological changs happened. lot of people displaced and when the new race came into the land they needed a fiction. so it fits perfectly well with genesis. no doubt genesis is correct on the accuracy of begining of human settlement in israel and surrounding middle east areas around 3800-3600 BCE. when a new faith is started, it needs a new look, its just old wine in new bottle with a little changes while serving it.

the cosmos has seven rounds/phase to reach the pinnacle, so whoever wrote genesis just took it for seven days. infact we are in the four round/phase where the human beings evolved. by seventh everything will be returned back to god and the next cycle/round/phase will start again. currently we are in the middle of the cycle. around 4-5 billion years. the cosmos keeps expanding and new things & beings will evolve over time. then the contraction & collapse will be much faster. only to expand again. doesnt it looks like a play? yes, god loves to play. he enjoys the play and so he plays it.

now your question: how long does it take for god to create in our time. nothing. my answer is NOTHING. because he did not create. he was evolving himself into all kinds of beings. he is everywhere, in everything. that is the beauty of god. he keeps churning everything. cosmos is so vast. we human beings are not able to understand what the earth properly. so thinking in cosmic proprtion is difficult for many. yes, there are human beings who have achieved this cosmic alingment with god. god just attracts everything like a magnet, some attract much faster than other. we have to be intune with nature, god.

creation/evolution are not different. they are two sides of the same coin. religions unnecessarily created this one sided theory and scientists continue to hold on to thiers.

i do not find anything difficult in understanding this cosmos. with or without god. because everything is divine, godly.

The Bible does not say how long it took for the earth to be created. If you will notice, the earth was already in existence BEFORE the first creative day started. (Gen. 1:2) The creative days were large time periods that God used to prepare the already-existing earth for human habitation. Before the first "day" began, the earth could have been around for millions of years.

If you're taking it literally, you have to take into account that in Hebrew, the word used for day specifically meant a 24 hour period of night and daylight.

You can't just change it to fit into fact by changing some of the specifics that are only debatable in the English version.

Also, you might want to remember that God did the 6 days of creation and 1 day of rest as a model for mankind's week. If his days truly were longer than 24 hours then, logically, so would ours.

Here is a question I asked earlier about it.

It spreads 7 days over 16.4 billion years all the way to the present time. It is the Mayans idea of creation.

It says that each cycle/day happens 20 times faster than the previous day, that would explain how people lived so long in the past.

They were 1000 yrs each & the 7th day God rested, does not mean that God was worn completely out, God never needs to rest, But God was typing out the 1000 yrs. millennium when Christ & his Bride will rule & reign on this earth. There will be a time of peace & rest.

a majority of those gods of the Earth is human. i recognize there's no such ingredient as a author or tin gods of any kind. I run my existence, no longer an imaginary excellent being made up through a gaggle of human beings. What I do on a daily basis determines my destiny.

Consider that our creation is ongoing and not completed until after the Millennium. Seven thousand years.

One thing is certain, we don't have to go far, look at our solar system every planet got its own day and night with varying hours. Single day and night on mercury may be ony few hours and in case of pluto may be few tens years.

DAYs for God is not like our 24-hour days....

Days for God could mean hundreds or thousand of years. the bible often speaks of the days of...example: in the days of noah, that is his lifespan or so...

7 days is not literally one week but thousand of years...

Does creation have a beginning and an end? I always thought of it as an ongoing process.
