Would think that this relationship would be a sensible one! No one thinks twice about having a home inspected before purchase?

I would. Think of it if you asked your partner to go for a std test before the two of u started to have sex and he/she said no what would you think of him/her. And also if u do go for a std test take your partner with u.

It's a good idea. If you are the female, you are more receptive to getting the STD's than the man, so it is great you have a man that wants to show you he's trustworthy and he wants the same assurance from you.

YES. WHY NOT? AND I ACTUALLY DID DO THAT WITH A GUY I DATED ONCE. HE WAS SCARED SH**LESS TO ASK ME BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS A WONDERFUL IDEA. WE WERE BOTH SINGLE PARENTS AND GOD KNOWS YOU WANT TO BE THERE TO SEE YOUR BABIES GROW UP. SO WE WENT TOGETHER FOR THE TESTS AND THAT WAS GOOD. AND THEN WHEN THE RESULTS CAME BACK, IT WAS ON!!!

I would most definitely to put their mind at rest, as long as they consented to having on done, because if they suggested the tests but wont have one themselves shows that they must have something to hide. but always remember ROLL BEFORE YOU ROCK!!!

definately!!! that shows that you have gotten yourself a very responsible partner. In this era of HIV and AIDS, i don't think anyone would risk sex without knowing the status of their partner.

yes, coz if the woman is on the pill you can have sex without a condom, as long as the results come back good obviously.
and yes i would as it would put my mind at rest about any diseases.
