Does the bible not tell us that we are to work our our salvation with fear and trembling. Does the doctrine of security of the believer as presented by the baptist faith undermine the be holy part of Gods instructions. And thus lull people into a state eternal sin.

The doctrine of eternal security does not negate Paul's teaching to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

The true Calvinist would certainly preach that you must be diligent in your faith and show forth fruits "meet for repentence", etc

Likewise, the true Arminian would certainly preach that we are secure in Christ and that we are utterly dependent upon God and His help.

John Wesley (the Arminian) and George Whitefield (the Calvinist) were both extremely gifted ,extremely fruitful, extremely used by God to win souls.... they had their disagreements about such doctrines.... but God used them both mightily and they were, off and on, very close friends.

This isn't to say that some preachers don't preach a watered-down dangerous type of "eternal security" message to their congregations. But it is just as true that some preachers preach a terribly distorted message about having to do this or do that to earn God's blessing....

God bless!! And I'm glad He is control!!!

What I REEEEEALLY want to know is ... how many Angels actually can stand on the head of a pin?

Now as to your convoluted question mired in Baptist theology,

What you have you C A N loose. What you were supposedly freely given you can toss away or misuse and again consequently loose! Get it Bubba...

This once Saved always Saved trash is just some Cosmic Debris from the minds of men.
