No it is not, divorce is a concept that applies only to marriage and siblings are not married.

There may be another answer however, if the siblings are minors, if one of them is able to support him-/her- self and can demonstrate to a court that he/she is able to live on his/her own, then that sibling can be emancipated--this would allow one sibling to get away from the other sibling.

If the siblings are adults, then you do the adult thing and simply cut off relations with the other sibling.

If there is violence, it is possible to bring in the authorities--child protective services would have an issue with the parents if they permit siblings to reach the point of physical violence, if one assaults the other, a complaint can also be made to the police.

No, cause there are no legal or statutory responsibilities involved (ie, you are not responsible for a siblings behavior, debts, burial, or obligations) but you can get a restraining order from your local county judge after a threat of physical violence.

I think a brother or a sister has every right to announce to his/her sibling: "I am no longer your brother/sister" if unforgivable situations have occured. It may not be an official "divorce" but it announces very clearly that you no longer want anything further to do with him/her.
Unfortunately, I have done this with my own brother and it works out very well. It saves me from hurt and I doubt he could care less.
Good luck!
